SURVIVORS-Holy waters made him Sikh

While Darwin Awards are usually won by unknown figures, the following story tends to proof that celebrities can also be serious contenders.

On July 17th 2022, Bhagwant Mann, Chief Minister of Punjab (India) decided to demonstrate to the world the benenefits of drinking a full glass of the Khali-Bein river's "holy waters", by filming the event and posting it on Twitter.

While the Khali-Bein is indeed a sacred river, it is also well known for being highly polluted by the wastewaters of the 30 surrounding villages.

Drinking even a small quantity of such waters typically leads a basic human to contracting cholera, diarrhoea, dysentery, hepatitis, typhoid, polio... But what a full glass could do to the faithful? Nothing, right?

Two day later, Mr Mann began to suffer serious stomach pain and was helicoptered in emergency to an hospital in Delhi.

It seems at this day that our pious Chief Minister will survive, thanks to a good old pharmaceutical treatment...

We wish him a prompt recovery, and suggest him to drink with moderation, next time.

I'm shocked that anybody in this day and age would willingly drink from such a polluted source. Thanks!
