Mike Hawkins is perhaps not the smartest individual. At a protest in Canada he chose to stand on the vehicle portion of the highway to disrupt traffic.
As the protest action of blocking highways and railways was ruled illegal by the courts this alone was breaking the law.
When an approaching tractor trailer tried to carefully maneuver around the protesters standing on the highway Mike Hawkinns moved directly in its path trying to stop it.
Many proven things take effect, laws of motion, stopping distance of a tractor trailer and just the size and weight difference of a moving tractor trailer vs a scrawny human.
Fortunately for Mike his error in judgement just resulted in a jarred elbow and shoulder and his 15 minutes of fame. ( Actually the video is getting a lot of air time with everyone praising the truck driver)
I feel Mike Hawkins deserves an honorable mention as a reminder for people not to move in front of moving tractor trailers.
