Kill Switch

Cruise ship worker Arshad Mehmood was in 2018 using a large, automatic window-washing machine to cleanse the outside of his ship with a colleague.

The machine featured remote controls and the duo were trained in how to move it to its stowed position. But despite no time pressures on the job, Arshad decided to instead reach out of a window to catch the robot's off switch on its way towards him.

As it turns out, the machine caught him instead, crushing him to his demise against the vessel's side.

Given the article indicates he ignored his training and instead apparently attempted a shortcut I'll allow this. Thanks, Iona.
