Late on Sunday, September 29, Cade Edmond Siemers, a 48-year-old U.S. citizen currently living in India, suffered severe burns to a significant portion of his body after falling into thermal water near the cone of Old Faithful Geyser.

Rangers detected evidence of alcohol use.

Although we've had one or two fairly similar stories in the past year or two I don't think we've gotten enough to consider this too common yet. And the clear evidence in the article that he ignored warnings and walked out into dangerous areas around the geothermal vents is enough for me. Thanks!
