Quick bluetooth recharge

A 16 year old teenager in Tahiti ( French Polynesia) was listening to music outdoor with his friends. When his bluetooth speaker's battery ran down he decided to recharge it as quickly as possible to keep the party going. So he decided to plug it to the pole of the electric high voltage line that lit the street. To do so , he broke into the meter device on the pole and , well , tried to connect his speaker wire to the meter. He died instantly.

While we do have a lot of stories in the archives involving people electrocuting themselves in all manner of ways I think this one is unique enough to accept. Who on earth thinks it's a good idea to try to plug a portable speaker into a high voltage line?
