Unemployed and likely looking for some extra money, 35-year-old Zaim Khalis Kosnan passed away in January 2018 in a shocking case of death by snake. Kosnan apparently saw a 12-foot python on the side of the road while riding his motorcycle through Malaysia. According to his sister, Kosnan returned home and told her that he intended to capture the snake and sell it. He then left with a pair of gloves and sickle. Later, Kosnan was found dead on the side of the road near his motorcycle, the snake still wrapped around his body.
Upon examination, police discovered Kosnan died via strangulation. Officials theorized that the snake began to constrict Kosnan while he was driving, leading to him fall from his motorcycle. The police believe Kosnan was holding the snake by its head while transporting it home, allowing the reptile to curl around his body in self defense.
