Bulldozer Safety

Copy & paste from article

Howard Rodriguez, 45, was killed in a tragic accident last Thursday, said to have been demonstrating bulldozer safety.

Rodriguez was supervising a construction site in New York State when he noticed a worker taking off his hard hat while driving a bulldozer. Howard then “turned full of rage” on an employee and told him to let him go on the vehicle.

The employee got off to let Rodriguez enter the bulldozer and demonstrate how important it is to follow workplace safety rules. “When Howard got on I noticed that he wasn’t wearing a seatbelt or a hard hat, which confused me.”

Howard started to drive the vehicle but was thrown from it and fractured his skull. “It was horrifying to watch him as he was airborne, I was so scared.”

Rodriguez died in the hospital that evening.

His death has been marked as driver error because of his choice to not wear a seatbelt or a hard hat. He was also driving too fast over rough terrain.

At first I'd thought this was one we'd already received, but nope. And to me, this is above and beyond the normal stupid of lack of safety gear and idiocy in driving. Thanks!

Sounds like a classic case of "Do what I say and not what I do", which is prime DA behavior. Thanks!
