Pufferfish chefs are required, by law, to be licensed which is a 2-3 year process and involves a written and practical examination...but 3 guys on the southern island of Jeju in the Republic of South Korea thought, “hey, for a lark....let’s just dismember and ingest the fish famous for having delicate sacks full of deadly toxins most likely to seep into its flesh if prepared by those not specifically trained” “spiffing idea, i’ve got no other plans this weekend!” surprising absolutely no one except a few pearl clutching ex pats (who didn’t bother reading the whole article?) The three men have been hospitalized, two in critical condition
