Sharkbait

Honorable mention to the young woman in Australia who, while on vacation, held out a bit of fish for the sharks. When one of them took her up on it—and her finger—she seemed genuinely surprised! Amazingly, she lost none of the appendage and was treated for potential infection, so she'll live to compete for the award another year.

Saw it on bOINGbOING today, July 2, 2018 (https://boingboing.net/2018/07/02/woman-bitten-while-hand-feedin.html), but tracted it back for the official media reference.

Definitely Keep: Honorable Mention
Although nurse sharks (the shark that bit the woman) are known to be docile (sharksider.com refers to them as the "couch potatoes of the ocean") they are still wild animals and can be very dangerous. This woman is lucky she didn't lose a finger, or worse. Thanks!

Usually messing with the wildlife is common, but this is a special level of dumb. A docile shark is still a SHARK. Thanks!
