A woman who went stand-up paddleboarding drowned in a lake near Munich, Germany. The 37-year-old asian tourist couldn´t swim and was not wearing a life vest. On top of this, she decided to venture out with no one accompanying her. Her relatives lost sight of her and when she didn´t return, a full-scale-search went underway. The emergency responders were only able to retrieve her dead body, fifty meters away from the seashore. Police are investigating, but foul play is not suspected.

Sorry, Andreas, but this doesn't say Darwin to me. The other moderators may differ. Thanks anyway, and submit again.

If nothing else I feel it's worth passing this along for Darwin to take a look at. I've tried standup-paddleboarding myself and the very first thing I realized is that you need a really good sense of balance because the boards are very easy to rock & tip over. If this person couldn't swim, didn't bother with a life jacket, and went out alone then she's well within the running for a DA as far as I'm concerned. Thanks, Andreas!

Tough call, but I agree with Bruce. standup paddle boarding is basically a more sophisticated form of balancing yourself on driftwood. She did not do her homework, and as a result she pretty much flunked out on the first try...! Thanks Andreas!
