Alright first I need to say this is an old death from 1992 but I haven't seen it here so here goes.

A man by the name of Greg Austin Gingrich fell over the railing of the Grand Canyon after climbing onto the railing and "windmilling his hands" to simulate falling off the edge to scare his teenage daughter who not wanting to encourage her father's idiotic antics walked away. He then proceeded to jump off the railing onto the cliff side of the canyon trying to land on a small ledge beneath him trying to get his daughters attention back. He didn't stick the landing and fell four hundred feet to his death leaving his daughter an orphan.
