A fisherman was filming them, making jokes on how they will end up drowning together with their horse. Mid river, as the water became more and more deep, the horse started panicking turning around for the shore.

One of the three peasants started hitting the horse with a huge stick but the horse didn't want to continue. As the currents become more and more rapid and the waters deeper, the peasants' cart was turned up-side-down by the water. In desperation, the peasants released the horse from the cart right before they were swept away by the currents.

The fisherman filming was joking that they will now drown, turned out he was right. Under the fisherman's eyes (and camera) two of the three peasants drowned in the Jiu River.

The horse survived.
