Burglar zapped

2013 Reader Submission
Pending Acceptance

A man was attempting to cut into a rooftop security box at a tire store, and got a shocking surprise in the process. His body was found hanging over the roof the next morning.

The security system, while needing repairs, performed its duty better than expected.

Since it's not quite your typical copper cable crook I'll gladly accept this. Thanks, Matt.

There's also the question if he was just stealing copper or trying to disable the system 'like they do in the movies' to get some of the smaller items tire stores carry. Or both. Either way, stupid to mess with a live system!
