The video was uploaded last summer and shows the man filming the whirlpool from the shore, before donning a wetsuit and climbing in the water.

The man who died at Carnsew Pool at Hayle has been named locally as freelance photographer, surfer and waterman Jacob Cockle.

The 28-year-old was recovered from the water at Carnsew Pool at Hayle on Tuesday after being found face down in the water at about 9pm.
