22-year-old Chen Jie was taking a bus en route to Ziyang from Chengdu on Wednesday when he got the urge to relieve himself, Global Times reported.

The driver, surnamed Liu, told that Chen asked him to pull over in the middle of the highway, but he refused for safety reasons.

"I asked him to wait because it's not safe to park on the freeway. I told him that there was a restroom at Shiqiao service zone, which would take about 10 minutes to reach," Liu told to Chengdu Business Daily.

After the refusal, Chen smacked the driver in the head with a plastic bottle and then returned to his seat. (Comment - Why didn't he use the bottle?)

Soon after that he opened the window and jumped out before anyone could stop him. Chen died as a result of the fall.
