in 1762, the gloucester journal reported: on tuesday afternoon a man was found strangled in a field.he had stolen a sheep and,to carry it, he had tied the black legs and put the cord over his head.when he rested on a gate the sheep kicked and the cord dropped over his neck.it strangled him
