A brazilian man from the city of Rondonopolis, state of Mato Grosso, decided to play a prank on his friend.

After coming back from a trip, our hero went to visit his friend, at his home. The other was about to leave, going to work, and had just entered his car. Our man aproached him, with a motorcycle, and decided it would be a good idea to play a prank - on a cop - pretending to be a robber while wearing a helmet hiding his face.

He was shot twice, and was about to be shot again when took off the helmet. He didn't survived the wounds.

The "robber prank goes wrong" itself may not be enough to grant him a Darwing Award. The fact that the victim was a cop may count some points. But another fact makes this a special case: our hero was, too, a cop.
