Failed attempt at Darwin

Apparently, this youngster has his sights on someday being a Darwin award winner. His first attempt was jumping out of a monorail at the Bronx Zoo and into the tiger exhibit. The tiger was of course more than willing to expedite his award, but was thwarted by the zoo staff wielding fire extinguishers.

Much to the disappointment of both the tiger and our ambitious youngster, the Darwin will not be awarded on this go around.

I guess we'll need to stay tuned to see what our creative genius comes up with next. Personally, I think he's off to a good start.

Some articles suggested this fellow was suicidal, others said he's just a nutter. I'll give him an HM for originality. I am very familiar with the Bronx Zoo, and just jumping off the moving monorail will get you seriously injured or killed. Jumping off while over the tiger pit? One lucky bozo, methinks! Thanks!

Jumping off of trains is sort of common, going into off-limits animal pens is too... but rarely does any candidate go for a 2-for-1 special! Thanks, Greg!
