Thai eats millipede after bite

2012 Reader Submission
Pending Acceptance

A Thai working in the garden was bitten by a millipede. In anger he swallowed the living (!) millipede. After 20 minutes he starts to vomit and finaly dies within 2 hours. Thre are different families of millipede in thailand, most of it have poison fang.

B.t.w.: eating insects is common in thailand (partially still living ones). It's part of the usual and daily nutriment there. He must have known that this insect is poisoning and dangerous to eat it alive (espacially after he was bitten by it - very painfull also because of the poison).

I checked the rules for submission before. I'm not a pro at strict interpretation of this rules so please excuse if don't fit regardless. Greetings Josh

This fellow MAY have known that the millipede was poisonous, or he may have been an ignorant bumpkin. Whatever the case, seeking medical help (even of the shamanistic variety) would have been more appropriate! Thanks, Josh!

After being bitten, he ATE the bug? Alive!? I would think he'd realize eating a biting bug isn't the best idea. Thanks Josh!
