Sometimes crime does pay but not in the way that is expected.

A former thief was turned into a charcoal bricket after trying to steal power cables from a major sub station.

He knocked out power for the entire suburb and has caused utter chaos in the traffic.

Power will be out for a few days as the entire sub station caught fire.
