Tuesday evening an ultralight plane crashed in the Dutch city Enschede.

The police noted that the plane was made of four parts: - a delta wing, - a frame with wheels, - a motor attached to the frame with... - duct tape.

During flight the motor burst in flame yielding the ultralight uncontrollable. The 21 year old pilot survived this particular crash...

According to the translation of the article this "airplane" didn't meet any of aviation regulations. Given that it was put together with duct tape I'm guessing the pilot knew virtually nothing about the forces an aircraft can expect to encounter during even the most routine flight.
