SULLIVAN, Ind. -- The body of an electrocuted man suspected of copper theft was found at the Indiana-Michigan Power Plant on Wednesday. Indiana State Police said a groundskeeper discovered the body inside of a fenced area in the 8800 block of West County Road 925 North near a small power station at about 10:45 a.m. Investigators said they suspect he may have been trying to remove copper wiring when he was electrocuted.

The Sullivan County Coroner pronounced the man dead at the scene and an autopsy was scheduled to be performed at Terre Haute Regional Hospital on Thursday. The man’s identity was not released.
