(WMC-TV) - MLGW employees discovered the body of a man who appeared to have been electrocuted on their property Saturday.

Employees were dispatched to the substation at 1630 Menager after reports of an electrical problem there. They located the victim and called police just before noon Saturday.

Employees also noticed that 300 feet of copper wire was missing.

Officers believe the victim was in his 50's.

Substations are routinely gated and locked. MLGW and the Memphis Police Department are continuing to investigate.
