Man killed in semi-trailer stunt

A TRUCK has fatally struck a young man as he attempted to run under it in an apparent stunt gone wrong at Brunswick.

Police have been told the 23-year-old was trying to run under the semi-trailer as it travelled at low speed but was hit about 10.45pm last night.

"It seems that he has attempted to squat down and run under the trailer,’’ a police spokeswoman said.

"Something has happened and he has gone under it.’’

The truck was travelling at about 5km/h on Phoenix St as it merged with traffic in Sydney Rd.

The man, from Brunswick, was with friends when the horror accident occurred.

Oh yeah, DEFINITELY keeping this one! it's dangerous enough under any circumstances, but given the slow speed of the truck(about 2.5 mph), he must lack even basic coordination skills! well, at least he won't get to do it twice...! Thanks!
