Trucdriver mauled by his own truck

2011 Reader Submission
Pending Acceptance

You can use Google Translate to decipher the story as it's written, but I'll provide you with a translation of my own just to make things clear.

A snow plow truck driver was driving along a road in the western parts of Finland. He encountered another truck standing by the side of the road and stopped to see what was wrong. The other truck was left with its lights on and the engine running with its driver nowhere to be found. The doors of the truck were closed, but the drivers side window was rolled down and the windshield wiper left standing off from the window. After further examination, the plow truck driver found the driver of the stopped truck further down the road, completely covered in snow, utterly dead.

It turned out that the now deceased driver had had problems with snow accumulating on the windshield wiper of his big rigs trailer. Dissatisfied, he either opened his seat belt or never had one on, and opened the drivers side window in order to clean the wiper while still operating the vehicle at 90km/h or around 56mph. He proceeded to grab the wiper in order to clean it, but somewhere along the way, the door of the trailer opened. Unable to react in time, the driver fell out of the moving vehicle, which then proceeded to move over its recently removed operator. The truck came to a halt by the side of the road on its own, as no one was left to keep the gas pedal lowered.
