“Victoria Funkhouser of Wingate escaped serious injury when she fell from the back of a truck Tuesday afternoon. Victoria’s husband, Gary Funkhouser, told Montgomery County Sheriff’s Deputy, Mike Taylor, the couple had loaded a cattle crate onto the back of their truck and wanted to test the crate for wind resistance. So Victoria climbed into the crate and Gary drove northbound on S.R. 25 at 60 to 65 mph. Then, things went wrong. A semi passed the truck going the opposite direction and the wind from the semi blew the crate and Victoria out of the truck. The crate fell onto the road behind the truck. According to the sheriff’s department report, Victoria suffered bruises and contusions over her entire body. The Funkhousers were unavailable for comment Wednesday afternoon.”
