Thief Killed

Darwin/Wendy says, "Thanks for the submission, but although foolhardy, it just doesn't seem to rise to the level required for nomination to Darwin Awards. Flashlight in mouth? Dumb, but who amongst us has not stuck a flashlight in their mouth to free up the hands for active participation? I thank thee for the submission, yet hesitate to archive it."
ORIGINAL SUBMISSION:

A thief trying to break into Foochow Methodist Church, and steal a bicycle belonging to one of the caretakers was killed.

Staff Sergeant Shawn Lay Kiat, who responded to the scene, said the thief was killed when a torchlight he had placed in his mouth to keep his hands free, rammed into the base of his skull as he hit the floor.

The police are investigating the incident. Recently, somebody broke into neighboring Covenant Center and stole some items also.
