A 56 year-old man almost died in a freak motorcycle accident. According to his account of the accident, he was riding his motorcycle and saw a snake come onto the road. He decided to drive through the snake to kill it, which he promptly executed. Driven by his "self-preservation" instinct he started wondering if the snake did not get entangled in the spikes of the back wheel of his motorcycle and decided to look just to make sure the snake was not going to get him. He lost control of the motorcycle and slid, with his head hitting the asphalt numerous times. He is currenly in the local hospital with half his scalp gone and a concussion and swears he will never ride a motorcycle again or try to kill snakes.
