Hammer Time!

My friend "N" was rather drunk. I mean, knee-walkingly, eyes 1/2 shut, on the precipice of projectile vomit, drunk. He decided he needed to find out what happens if you hit a AA battery with a hammer. So, out to the driveway, with battery & hammer in hand, he went. I told him I did not think it'd be a good idea, but he insisted. So, being drunk, he missed the first seven times, instead hitting the asphalt. Now, he was determined. I repeated to him he shouldn't do this, but what do I know, right? Finally, on the TWELFTH try, he nails it, dead center, and of course, got an eye-ful of battery acid. Six weeks later, he's finally starting to see shapes out of that eye again.
