Cooking with Canibas

2010 Reader Submission
Pending Acceptance

Luke Holmes, 28, was an entrepreneur, but not a very intelligent one. His occupation of choice was the highly lucrative trade of marijuana cultivation. His choice of location for this endeavor was a house in Halifax. Holmes built three foil-lined tents inside his house, which he loaded with the pot plants and a large number of halogen bulbs to stimulate their growth.

After not hearing from Holmes for a number of days, friends when to the house to investigate. They found him in his bed, cooked to death by the very heat that was nurturing his crops. Police who responded reported that the house was so hot that they almost fainted upon entering. The house was reportedly a sultry 38C (100F).

Literally cooked to death by his own makeshift greenhouse. I don't know about you, but I don't think I could have slept in a house as hot as that. Thanks!

Maybe this guy fell asleep before the temp. got too high? Still, sleeping IN the greenhouse was stupid.
