Jumping on a ceiling window

A teenage boy had apparently been amusing himself and some friends by jumping repeatedly on a plastic ceiling window over an underpass at Toijala, Finland. As a consequence, the boy had fallen through the window, which was unable to sustain continuous bouncing on top of it.

Local police had measured the falling distance to be 6.3 meters to the concrete floor below. Police also concluded that the plastic window was made of relatively strong material.

The window had been placed on an elevated surface, so the boy had had to deliberately climb up to reach the window.

The 17-year old boy had multiple fractures in his hands and feet, but survived the fall.
