24 volt battery

2010 Reader Submission
Pending Acceptance

While talking to a friends brother in law we were talking about big cordless drills and 24volt drill packs..... Said brother in law stated that he ONCE decided to test a 24volt drill battery like all kids do with a 9volt battery...... he put his tounge across the contacts.

He informed us that the battery psk was dead flat and thought he would only get a slight tingle...... It flattened him and he swears he felt his heart stop...... he was fairly weak and not real flash for a few days....... we all wondered what would have happened if the battery pack had been fully charged.....

He did survive but that was more luck than planning.....

Soooo the fact it was a much higher voltage didn't set off the caution gene? He's bloody lucky to be alive! Thanks, Dave, and submit again!

Gadzooks, some people just don't get it! Yes, this one counts as stupid! Even dead flat, 24 volts is STILL 24 volts!! Thanks, Dave!
