His truck was hauling a grain bin when it came in contact with the power line in the 4800 block of North Fortville Pike.

According to Major Joe Hunt of the Hancock County Sheriff's Department, the truck was using a makeshift 2 X 4 assembly to deflect the power lines off the metal grain bin. When that assembly failed, the driver tried to move the line with another piece of wood. Hunt said the line jumped off the board, and hit the driver, sending 75,000 volts through his body.

The man, who has not been identified, was flown by PHI helicopter to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.

Hunt said Indiana State Police inspectors will investigate the truck. IOSHA investigators will look into the incident.

Hunt added that the power line was placed at regulation height above the road.

The photos in the referenced article are enough for me to vote for this. Who in his right mind would try such idiocy? Thanks for sending this in.
