Pueblo man electrocuted while tryin

A 28-year-old man died early this morning in Pueblo while trying to steal electrical wiring from a high voltage electrical box, the Pueblo police said.

The man, Brian Repinski of Pueblo, was brought unconscious to Parkview Hospital suffering from high voltage burns, said Sgt. Mark Duran.

He died shortly after his arrival.

Duran said interviews were conducted with associates of Repinski. They said the electrocution occurred on Greenhorn Drive while Repinski and an accomplice were attempting to steal the wiring.

Detectives are continuing their investigation to determine whether Repinski and his associates were involved in other recent thefts and burglaries, said Duran.

The group was using a blue Dodge Caravan during the aborted electrical wire theft.

Anyone with information about Repinski and the van linking it to the recent thefts is asked to call Pueblo police at 719-553-2517 or Pueblo Crime Stoppers at 719-542-STOP.

Definitely Keep: For Darwin's Eyes
Yet another copper thief story for Darwin to collect. Although this one seems rather lackluster compared to some of the others we've received...

I'm with Bruce in that this particular one is lackluster, but Darwin wants 'em, so...!
