ORIGINAL SUBMISSION:

Four years ago my scout troop took a trip to the Florida Keys for a week of sailing and scuba. At camp is a fenced off enclosure with young sharks that has clear warnings plastered all around the enclosure. Around the middle of the week some scouts from another troop got the idea of getting one of the sharks out to get a better look at. Their briliant plan was to have one of them lean over while the others held his legs and use a piece of uneaten fish as bait. Sure enough an aproxamitly 1.8ft shark came by to take a look at the new entry to the water. Our Protaganist thinking the shark ripe for the picking lunged at the unsuspecting fish with both hands and recieved the sharks feelings on the situation in the form of a shark tearing away at his wrist. Our foolhardy hero realized that his blood would attract the other sharks and lifts his hand out of the water leaving the thrashing shark hanging part way out of the water slowly sawing his hand off until he finally grabed it with his free hand and yanked it off tearing across the length of his wrist removing the rightfully angered shark and droped it back in the water. I didnt get to see the full extent of the damage but I assume that he has learned how not to catch a shark.

I wouldn't try to catch a salmon this way, much less a shark! Thanks for a humorous PA, Eric!

Apparently this guy also didn't know that most sharks have skin so rough it was once used for sandpaper! Teeth + skin = trouble! Thanks, Eric!
