A friend of mine owns a company that fabricatres shipping crates for international shipping. Essentially, this is a carpentry shop. One day as he was doing some book work in his office, two of his employees decided to amuse themselves with pneumatic nailers. This device, also known as nail guns (shiver me timbers, consists of a large stapling gun attached to a compressed air hose and loaded via a magazine of nails which come in blocks, much like the ammunition belts for machine guns. The device is equipped with a safety feature in the form of a plunger which prevents the nails from being shot unless it is depressed into the shaft of gun. Unfortunately, it is possible to depress the safety lock by hand and shoot nails at random if one wishes. Our heroes decided to have a nail gun war. No one was injured (inexplicably) but one of the combattants ran out of ammunition and fled from his foe at great speed, the latter taking chase with the gun still in his hand and firing. Very soon, he came to the end of the rubber pneumatic air line which abruptly stopped in his stride and retracted like an elastic band, causing him to fall back with his feet in the air, while firing a volley of nails at the ceiling causing a loud clatter. My friend rose from his desk just to time to see the fleeing combattant looking back at this foe and running madly toward a garage door. Said garage door however was not totally raised, the lower panel being at about shoulder height. He hit the door and his feet also left he ground and both of them laid on the floor roaring with laughter even while half stunned. They were fired immediately. We shall miss them

I think we've gotten stories involving nail guns before but this one takes the cake given how it ended. Thanks, Gilles.
