Just Two For The Air

2007 Reader Submission
Pending Acceptance

We all know about fine alcohol drinks. Kentucky whiskey and bourbon, German beer, Southern white lightning, French wine and Egyptian vodka. You may be asking yourself Egyptian vodka?! Well if you have any question about the quality of Egyptian vodka you need only to ask one passenger on a flight from Egypt to his home in Dresden.

While changing planes in Nuremberg he was informed of the rules about carrying liquids on the plane. Well rather than surrender his fine Egyptian vodka he chose to drink two pints right then and there.

Unfortunately, this was more than this mook could stand. (No pun intended) It seems that not only did standing become a chore but he couldn't function in pretty much any way shape or form.

Fortunately a doctor was at the airport and diagnosed alcohol poising. So he was whisked away to the hospital. He was 64 and never got the chance to meet OJ's ex-wife and the Kennedy brothers so an honorable mention is all he gets.

Of course this begs the question; Will you still drink it all but not really think at all when your sixty four?

I haven't seen this yet and I do like this write-up! I will risk the wrath of my fellow mods and vote yes on this one! Thanks, Jonathan!

While I'm tempted to reject this on the grounds of the really, really bad attempt at "humour" (and I'm using the term rather loosely) in the last sentence (guess what, I'm 64 myself...), I have to admit that I did like the story and the writeup. I vote to keep this. Thanks Jonathan!
