peepong tom electrocuted

2007 Reader Submission
Pending Acceptance

A classmate of mine in 9th grade (just starting South Hills High School) was into peeping tom activities. "James" (don't remember his real name) found an ideal flat roof with a good view of a lady's apartment. He chose a dark and rainy night for his effort - and of course he couldn't use a flashlight as it would give him away. The combination of dark, rain, attention not focused on where he was going and an exposed electric wire going into the building earned him a Darwin Award.

Location: Pittsburgh Pa Date: early fall 1954, maybe September as I remember it wasn't far into the semester. Reference point: South Hills High School 9th grader electrocuted

Definitely Keep: Personal Account
Since the Pittsburgh Press is defunct I doubt we'll be able to find any articles from them about this incident so I'll have to go PA on this one. Thanks, John.

John, if you could possibly find some collaborating evidence and send it to us we could elevate this one to a Darwin Award.

Darwin Awards III: Survival of the Fittest

Hardback. 304 pages. Autographed.
$15
The human race's most popular humor series returns with a brand-new collection of macabre mishaps and misadventures. Honoring those who improve our gene pool by inadvertently removing themselves from it, the Darwin Awards III shows once more how uncommon common sense still is.

Salute the sheriff who inadvertently shot himself--twice! Witness the insurance defrauder who amputated his leg with a chainsaw! Heed the story of the farmer who avoided bee stings by sealing his head in a plastic bag! Cringe at the man crushed by a branch he'd just severed... directly over his head!

123 new stories, 18 full-page illustrations, plus discussions of transgenic animals, the origin of life, and more.

Autographed by Author!
