Teen falls six stories

2007 Reader Submission
Pending Acceptance

Matthew, 17, apparently lost his bathing suit. The average cost of a bathing suit is $20, but Matthew noticed his suit, which had fallen off the 11th floor balcony where he was staying, landed near a 6th floor balcony. So, Matthew, spendthrift that he is, decides to retreive his lost shorts by climbing up from a balcony on the 6th floor.

Matthew is only eligible for an Honorable Mention, because he was lucky enough to bounce off several other balconies on the way down. He hit a slanted roof, and rolled to the ground without even a broken bone.

Neverless, Matthew is on the right path to acheiving a full Darwin Award. We're watching for his next fall from a balcony railing!

Definitely Keep: Honorable Mention
A six story fall with no broken bones is incredibly lucky. Risking his life over a swimsuit sure doesn't sound like a good idea to me. Thanks, Morgan!

Darwin Awards III: Survival of the Fittest

Hardback. 304 pages. Autographed.
$15
The human race's most popular humor series returns with a brand-new collection of macabre mishaps and misadventures. Honoring those who improve our gene pool by inadvertently removing themselves from it, the Darwin Awards III shows once more how uncommon common sense still is.

Salute the sheriff who inadvertently shot himself--twice! Witness the insurance defrauder who amputated his leg with a chainsaw! Heed the story of the farmer who avoided bee stings by sealing his head in a plastic bag! Cringe at the man crushed by a branch he'd just severed... directly over his head!

123 new stories, 18 full-page illustrations, plus discussions of transgenic animals, the origin of life, and more.

Autographed by Author!
