Having lost his license to drive an automobile in Houston County, Georgia, 38-year old Anthony Todd Potts made the decision to use his riding lawnmower to drive to a nearby store to quench his thirst. Not wanting to lose his way to the store in the dark, Mr. Potts chose to drive south on the railroad tracks that led from his home to the store. All went well until a north-bound Norfolk Southern train encountered Mr. Potts' mower on the tracks. Thanks for the story. I don't recall reading the bit about "losing his licence to drive" in the other submissions but maybe I'm getting tired. Another Moderator on this one, please.

I believe there is some new information here. Hopefully it's not too much of a nuisance if James is right and I am mistaken. One thing's for certain, the decedent probably didn't really need even more booze.

Although we already have this story, this version has more details and makes more sense. He had lost his license, so taking the mower was logical. Riding on the railway tracks at night however, was not.
