Driving Pekingese

2006 Reader Submission
Pending Acceptance

I've just read this hillarious note in the MSNBC News site today (August 28th 2006).

A Chinese woman from the Hohhot town in the Inner Mongolia region crashed her car when trying to give her dog, yes that's right, her dog, a driving lesson, according to its bright owner, the dog loved to watch her drive, surely it wondered whether or not its owner would be dumb enough as to let it have a go.

Turns out she was dumb enough to do it and she just decided to let the dog take the steering wheel while she operated the pedals, quite unexpectedly, this stunt ended up in a crash that didn't left either humans or dogs injured.

Though the police didn't say much, one is kept wondering if the crash was due to a mistake on the woman's and not the dog's part.

Had she died, an illustrious lineage of Mongolian blood dating since Genghis Khan ever started to fire inept recruits who tried to teach their dogs how to ride horses and shoot arrows while at it, would have become extinct

We have this story already but I do rather like the original write-up! We'll let Darwin decide on this one!

Thanks, Victor, an original write-up always earns bonus points and this was well done. Let's let Darwin take a look at it.

Yep, I'm partial to this incident and I also dig the write-up.
