This was shot at the the south end of the Golden Gate Bridge. It's fatally stupid to run between the south tower and the shore, esp. with a swell running. esp. that far in. There's

a reason the south tower is 1000' offshore and the north tower is right at the shoreline. The THREE fathom line is 600' out on the south side. DUH.

That skipper should NEVER have been in that spot. The surfers are a clue. Also note that the photographer started shooting well before the sailboat was in trouble, which means it was clear that stuff was gonna happen.

I can't find it in the print media, but the pix are real, and I THINK I know the captain of one

of the Calif. DFG boats involved.

Fortunately for him, the candiate survived, as did his passenger.
