swiming burglar

A burglar trying to break in to a fishing boat in the harbour of Hönö (Hoenoe) was spotted by some people working in the harbour late friday night. Trying to avoid getting caught the burglar decided to make a swim for it not taking in consideration the water temperature of some 33° F. He was picked up by the Swedish coast guard and transported to a hospital where he later died from hypothermia.

A little sketchy on details, but this is sufficently different from the usual crook running from the police story to make it worthy of an award.

While people caught "red-handed" do stupid things, in this case there were apparently no police officers on the scene... which makes it at least worthy of consideration.
