FALMOUTH,MA - A Fall River man was having a mock sumo wrestling match with his wife before he fell to his death from a roof last Friday night.

Scott Ratcliffe, 28, of 5455 North Main St., Fall River, and his wife were at an Halloween party dressed in inflatable sumo wrestler costumes, according to police reports.

The couple climbed over a planter railing and onto the roof at 323 Main St., Falmouth, then circled each other to mimic a sumo wrestling match. Ratcliffe went too far to the edge of and fell 20 feet to his death.

Maybe not the funniest, but the level of stupidity is pretty high, as is the absurdity of the situation. With a little polishing by Darwin I think it could be a contender. Too bad the inflatable suit didn't break his fall.
