Later reports say that a short audiotape of the attack was found, but it apparently doesn't indicate what happened to cause the bear to attack, so I'm calling this an accident for now since he did have over a dozen years of experience working with bears. Please submit the entire story, not just the URL. Links do go down occasionally. And this is a repeat. Please check the slush pile rejects as well as the slush pile before submitting. Thank you.
