During the hot Israeli summer cockroaches could be quite a pest in Israel. It's mostly a harmless little thing, unless you are very unlucky.

And very very stupid.

A 32 years old woman showed up in the ER at Poria hospital in Tiberius, complaining about strong stomach aches. She told the doctors that when she was cleaning the house a cockroach entered her mouth and caused her to start chocking. She hurried to the kitchen and tried to take the little tyke out with a fork. Problem is- she ended up losing her grip on the fork and swallowing them both. She could've tried using a pitchfork to take the whole thing out, but sadly she wasn't that stupid. A decision to go to the hospital places her with nothing more than perhaps a honorable mention.

Thanks for the URL, I was ready to call this an urban legend. Nothing really new, as people have been known to swallow strange things before, but let the readers decide.
