Deadly Barbecue

Saturday night saw a tragic end to a barbecue in Guttaring, Austria. A young electrician was killed by an electric shock.

The 23 year old man was at a barbecue party by a fishing hut with ten friends.

After a dip in the fish pond, the man - still dripping wet - attempted to exchange a broken light bulb on the party illumination. As he had neglected to turn off the power, he suffered a heart stopping shock when he completed the circuit with his body.

Reanimation attemps by a paramedic remained unsuccessful.

Neutral: Darwin Award
Agree it's a way too common accident, but an electrician should have known better. Let the viewers rate it...

Definitely Keep: Darwin Award
I think it's fairly amusing but also fairly common to electrocute yourself while changing a broken light. But he's also a known electrician and presumably more able to use good judgement than an average person. I also like to see submissions from places other than the US. So I vote to keep it, although I can definitely see reasons to decide against it. Thanks for the submisison (and translation) Gunter!

Definitely Toss: Too Common
Agree with Gregory.

Gregory said:
Definitely Toss: Too Common
electrocutions of this type too common.

Neutral: For Darwin's Eyes
I'm neutral on this only because I had to run the term "Installateur" (the URL points to a German language site) through about a half dozen translation sites before I got the meaning of "electrician, plumber, installer).
