Victim appeared to police detectives to be manufacturing machine guns out of parts ordered from different suppliers.

A .223 cartridge became stuck in the barrel he was working on so the victim clamped the barrel in a vise and, while standing in front of the barrel, began heating it with a blow torch. The gun discharged into his abdomen and he bled to death.
