After You, Comrade...

If you never traveled across Siberia in a train, you have no idea what the expression "feels like forever" truly means. Given that some people make such trips on a regular basis, again and again, as a part of their job, you probably may expect them to do strange things to fight boredom -- but this strange?..
Two train stewards were admitted to a hospital at a Viazemskaya train station half-way between Novosibirsk and Vladivostok with severe head injuries and massive bleeding. The distance between the cities is 4500 km, and, as mentioned before, it is a looooooong trip (which lasts five days). As bored as they were, the gentlemen decided to entertain themselves by a competition. Objective: to be the first one who breaks the car window. Means: one's own head. Winner?..
Apparently, the window glass was the winner, since it refused to break. It may also qualify as a factor in a Darwinian selection, which prevented an evolution of a rare species of Homo Woodpeckeris Dementis. As for these gentlemen, they probably deserve an Honorary Mention for the valiant attempt to remove themselves from the gene pool.

Train conductors need hospital treatment after headbutting contest
A group of Russian train conductors needed hospital treatment after
smashing their heads repeatedly against a train window to find out who had
the strongest forehead. The conductors came up with the contest as a way
of passing time on the 3,000 mile journey from Novosibirsk in Siberia to
Vladivostock. The men were treated in hospital after stopping the train
midway through the journey at the town of Vyazemskaya and demanding medical
help, Pravda reports.
