Train ploy death

A train passenger who pushed an emergency alarm on a train simply so he could get out at an unscheduled stop was hit and killed when he accidentally got out on the wrong side of the train onto the track in front of an on-coming train.
Chisanga Mulenga, 21, stepped onto the track instead of a platform at Earlsfield, South-West London.
Mr Mulenga had allegedly stopped the train the same way a week earlier. Pulling the emergency alarm should only be done in absolute emergencies, as it causes massive delays on the busy London train network. At least Mr Mulenga won't be doing it again. Submitted on 04/10/2003
